The next generation of multiplayer gaming is here, and professional basketball players DeAndre Jordan, Nick Young and Anthony Bennett got an early taste of the next generation of Call of Duty®, with Call of Duty®: Ghosts at the game’s exclusive, invite-only multiplayer reveal event. Held today at the Event Deck at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, the pro players were among the first people in the world to go hands-on with Call of Duty: Ghosts, along with nearly 300 gaming media enthusiasts from around the world. In addition to joining the attending media at the event, Jordan, Young and Bennett got to play alongside a handful of U.S. Marines and professional, competitive Call of Duty® players – all experiencing the new features in the next generation of Call of Duty, including game-changing dynamic map events, new tactical player movements, and an arsenal of new multiplayer maps, game modes and much more.
“It's crazy that I'm at this exclusive event," said Anthony Bennett, #1 overall draft pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bennett continued, "Playing the game with the new features and new maps with the Marines has been very cool, and our team won both times so it's been a great opportunity.”
Call of Duty: Ghosts delivers an all-new world, setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next-generation engine. For the first time, gamers play as the underdog, fighting as part of a single squad against an enemy that has superior numbers and firepower. The single player experience opens with an unthinkable mass event. Weapons with immense force are released, destroying most of America and reshaping the world as we know it. As your home lies in ruins and everything around you is destroyed, you and your brother come across the remnants of a group shrouded in mystery, known only as the Ghosts. Together you not only must defend what’s left, but take the fight to the enemy before they finish the destruction and end our way of life.
Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer delivers an unparalleled online experience, empowering fans with the greatest amount of customization and access to create your soldier, in your world and take wherever you go. Featuring thousands of possible character combinations, game-changing dynamic map events, new tactical player movements; 14 maps and seven new multiplayer modes out of the box, a new Squads mode for up to six-player co-op play, and much, much more, Call of Duty: Ghosts is the complete online experience on both next-gen and current-gen alike.
